@40 -- that is weird. The archive of the Lyric does mention an Aida with Björling (1958), but they don’t give the name of his Aida. In 1955 it was Tebaldi, with Varnay as Amneris (ouch!).

    Aida, Nov. 24, 26, 29:

    Ramfis William Wildermann

    Radamés Jussi Björling

    Amneris Giulietta Simionato

    King of Egypt Kenneth Smith

    Messenger Luigi Vellucci

    Priestess Sophia Steffan

    Amonasro Tito Gobbi

    Conductor Georges Sebastian

Fortunately another source fills in the Aida, it was indeed Leonie Rysanek.
