  • Inveterate Gossip says:

Julietta WOULD be a good opera for NYCO to do.

How could they make it sell?

Make William Burden get naked on stage. And would the baritone role suit (or unsuit) Teddy Tahu Rhodes?

  • Indiana Loiterer III says:

Julietta has only two leading roles, the title role (lyric soprano; should be glamourous enough to be a worthy object of every (straight) man’s dream) and Michel (lyric tenor–that’s Burden’s role). It has tons of one-off character parts, though–in the recent London performance that came up in this thread, there was a lot of doubling of those parts. Nothing really large enough for Teddy Tahu Rhodes, I’m afraid.
