    You are correct, Cassandra, and it was an oversight on my part. I should have specified that the tenor voice generally finishes maturation between 34 and 36. Certainly the lower the male voice, the longer the maturation period. My apologies.

    European-style opera can be demanding. But nothing is more infuriating than MET audiences applauding the set then falling asleep or talking.
