wedding march

In this, as in so many things, La Cieca follows the lead of friendly firebrand Maury D’Annato. Your doyenne calls on you, cher public, to help defeat California’s Proposition 8, a measure that, according to some legal scholars, could nullify thousands of existing marriages. Even in a best-case scenario, this measure would rob same-sex couples of the right to marriage. Please click on the banner below and, if you can, give generously to the Keep Marriage Legal cause.

surely you’re not suggesting that Obama and McCain are equally supportive of gay rights in general and the protection of gay relationships in particular?

If you make a contribution and send proof to Dan Savage, he will personally answer any kinky (or otherwise)question you may have. (I have a crush on Dan Savage)

  • Leper Ello says:

It’s most unfortunate that there is a YES on PROP 8 banner now running on the bottom of the parterre blog. I know that the specific ads placed on most blogs are beyond the blog owner’s ability to control. But it is still unfortunate.

  • La Cieca says:

Well, think of it this way, Leper Ello: they’re paying for the ad placement and obviously not getting a receptive audience here, so their money is (in this case) wasted.

  • Leper Ello says:

Touche’, La C, and thank you for talking me down! :-)

  • Brooklynpunk says:

Just a friendly reminder, for those who might have just woke up..(Hawaiian voters, anyone?)…

GET OUT THERE AND VOTE…(early and often….)

  • kashania says:

Yes! And if possible, cast an extra vote for us non-Americans who can’t vote (for Obama please and thank you).
