I have her Manon frock on my blog. Utterly disappointing. No six-foot pannier!
The blog mentioned is Opéra Chanteuse.
According to Vogue, Lacroix will design her Thais costumes as well.
Chanteuse: at the risk of misquoting, “It’s nothing but a grand bateau mouche tricked out with Punch and Judy orchids.”
A dud of a dress, Cieca.
The color, uninspiring; the cut, dreadful and ill-fitting. Don’t get me started on the hair!
So…the slime-balling of Ms. Fleming’s MET opening Night performance… BEGINS…before the actual event even occurs–kind of pathetic,in my opinion-nu?
No, it’s not pathetic at all. I think it’s fun.
Chanteuse:
I guess everyone is entitled to their own definition of “FUN”
(sorry—this sort of “fun” ain’t all that funny, or amusing –to me–guess I’m too grumpy over the potential of the Great Depression, part II; and Walnuts and the Moose-Murderer …oh, well…)
It MIGHT be a little more responsible to wait and see how Monday evening REALLY looks and sounds, before saying anything…
I thought we were talking about the dress, which is visible now, unfortunately.
Am sure Renée will sing her heart out in that Manon dress, no matter how badly designed.
