How lucky to be able to sing (after a fashion) both parts.

What's frightening, for me, is that this is the second time in two days that I've heard, read or otherwise been exposed to reference to Paul Potts. I can only hope this doesn't become a trend.

What about straight American women? Do we fear drag queens? For my part, I don't fear them, I just get depressed by the fact that they always look more glamorous than I ever could, no matter how hard I tried. But in true female nature, I feel that way about tall gorgeous, glamorous, estrogen-filled, born-that-way women too.

If I remember correctly Shequida studied at Julliard before becoming a drag queen. I wish she would've just sang using her real voice.

I have heard Shequida live many times and believe you me this is not her best vocal moment. (Real name: Gary Hall). Frankly, Gary isn't sounding good here - the choice of material is unfortunate and the tempo and key are doing nothing for the voice. I have heard Shequida do lieder by Joseph Marx and bat it out of the park without a mike. This just sounds phony and the whole concept of singing a duet with himself in his natural and falsetto voice isn't working. Something is missing in the presentation and Shequida knows it isn't working.

Shequida does best when he/she presents the song straightforwardly surprising the audience with a beautiful serious performance.

Is it a blessing there is no sound when I play it? I believe he/she/it did a Brittany imitation in the next round of America's Got Talent (and God am I ashamed that I know this...).

As a straight guy, I have no problem with drug queens as long as they're consistent with their vocal range. As matter of fact, some drag queen are classy even if they don't sing: opera chic anyone?

The big guy in the wings is a self-taught, self-styled "opera singer" who makes Paul Potts seem like Gigli in comparison.

And who is Paul Potts? Count your blessings if you don't know, but check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLF9iEXnBRo if you must.
