One of the greatest artists of all time… She sang it all – and flawlessly. My two favorite Ludwig moments: her Leonore (the essence of humanity) and, on the Bohm “Cosi,” the way she sighs the phrase of recitativo right before launching into “Prendero quel brunettino” – matchless…
