Does Mr. Fishman get beaten into a little gold ring or does Him get passed around to all the assorted divinities as he is in his bare glory? Do they put him on top of Freia’s pile, and what does the dragon do with him? Why not just do Death in Venice using him as the Polish kid?

  • Hagen d'Arse says:

Gianni – Dudamel conducting the Ring??? That’s the funniest thing I’ve ever heard. If he does it anytime in the next 25 years I will howl from the rooftops in horror and despair…

  • Hagen d'Arse says:

Billyboy – #39 – that is a very astute and interesting point. I am going to go and have a good think about that too.

  • Regina delle fate says:

Gigli – the theft of the gold is horrifying. Alberich rips the heart out of “Mr Fishman” and the tank fills with blood . Later on Wotan and Loge do a surgical operation on Alberich, amputating his forearm to get the Ring! It’s a very violent and bloody Ring

  • Bridget Jones says:

    It looks absolutely fantastic!!!
And if what regina says is true… dear lord, even better!!! Can`t wait to see this production!!

Loved the drunken Walkyries and the ripping of the wings. It doesn`t get any better.

Curious about the version of Siegfried in this cycle. How is Mime done? And what do they do about that tree in Hunding’s parlor? And, how are Siegmund and Hunding killed?

I thought Gold Guy might have been in a body stocking in the tank–but I swear on Wotan’s pole that I saw Goldie’s wingwang for just a second.

This is sounding like a horror show inspired by Ed Gein, the real life inspiration for lots of horror movies.
