After decades of acclaim both as a People’s Artist and as an international monstre sacré, what is left for a diva but to join in that hip-hop all the youngsters are doing these days?

Gualtier Maldè barked:
“This brings us back to our “Gypsy†casting:
Louise: Anna Netrebko”
Well the future ecdysiast was certainly rehearsing her floor work in that unspeakable PURITANI…
Villaroel sang Ballo’s Amelia a couple of years back in Chicago and boy was she horrible! I was never too fond of her voice and her voice production.
Good to see they have white trash in Latvia, too. I was beginning to think it was just Indiana.

Also, French did her ROH debut last year in Fille du regiment in the same production that was seen at the Met. I saw the telecasts from Vienna and ROH, plus was at opening night at the Met, between Caballe, French and the lady who did it at the met (her name escapes me) I preferred French, she was Hysterical.

Love French & Saunders. I get them from Netflix.

More of Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders.
Gaultier: Thanks for this. Gorchakova’s interview gives a whole new meaning to the word ‘outspoken’. This peels paint! Perhaps its not surprising she has so little work now. She manages to insult everyone–conductors, directors, fellow singers–she might ever have worked with! Oddly, though, I kind of felt sorry for her. Very strange.
I had the same thought. Who would want to hire her (Gorchakova) or work with her.
What a bitch.
