Reader/brainiac Orion Montoya has invented a gizmo that may help simplify the annual puzzlement over which of the Met’s myriad subscription series is right for you (if any). Before you purchase your tickets for next season, take a look at the Met Opera Subscription Helper.

Ingenious, truly. But I’m going to do what I always do which is buy a trio and/or single tickets. I have never once in 15 years ever had difficulty getting the seats I wanted, when I wanted them. Depending on how you look at it, this is either a good thing…or terribly depressing .

Not bad but please publish a calendar similar to last year where the entire season was laid out with cast for each date.

I agree that I will purchase a trio or just single tickets again.

Well, my belief that subscriptions are a crapshoot is now confirmed. The net nanny at my office blocked me from linking to the Met Subscription Helper – Category: Gambling.
