Legends of the Fall
Officially, Anna Netrebko is expecting her baby “this autumn,” and La Cieca of course extends her and Erwin Schrott all the best wishes. However, let’s take a peek at a few recent photos of Netrebko…
[Traviata at Covent Garden, early January]
[Arriving at the Opernball in Vienna, February 1]
[On set of Boheme film, around February 1]

[Recording studio in Valencia, February 5]
Now, La Cieca has polled a few sopranos-with-children about how, well, “far along” The Nebs looks in these photos.
The consensus: “she’s due in July.”
Sugermezzo,
Your mother must have wanted you to have no friends…But thanks for that trite and true comment…Maybe you and Constipated Poopas can discuss it over tea and crumpets.
Kisses
July… September – who cares… who counts anymore – who can blame her! Che bel’uomo!
Does this mean I should run out and buy all of Erwin Schrott’s cds to see what all the fuss is about????
I’m with Baby Doh III, but I think all of the proceeds of the raffle should go for his voice lessons, though anyone with reasonably intact hearing would probably conclude that as a “singer” he is hopeless. This is true of most people who call themselves “singing actors”.
I heart Frank Johnson!
Here’s what it means, Newsie. You should go SEE Erwin Schrott, then listen to Anna Netrebko’s CD’s, THEN try to decide what all the fuss is about re: her. She’s the one on the lucky end of this union.
P.S. Re: Erwin Schrott being Jewish, I would be more than happy to confirm this for all of us. Just tell me when.
