    This is as good a thread to hijack as any, and I hope you’ll pardon the ignorance of the question, but when is the 2008-09 Met season announced (if it hasn’t been already)? My sister and I are surprising our mother with her first trip to NYC for her 70th in October, and I obviously want to take her to the opera.
