Lady Be Good

La Cieca is happy to announce a special performance to mark the return from exile of Unnatural Acts of Opera. Our program is a reprise of the first opera ever podcast on this site, Verdi's Macbeth featuring Shirley Verrett and Piero Cappuccilli. Claudio Abbado conducts the orchestra and chorus of La Scala on December 7, 1975.

On a different but somehow related subject, I implore La Cieca to arrange A Zajick's festival for UAOP, the single less recorded major artist in the world ever! It was once said that her high-F was as solid and powerful as Birgit's high-C. Is there any recording of it?

The first comment borders on limp-wrist racism. Grace Ann do expound/explain. Moving on however;
La Verrett! What a goddess! Can't wait to listen. I've reveled in the DG Recording for thirty years, and never tire of it, so this podcast should be a delight. Keep up the great work.

I am proud that Shirley is my neighbor. I have mentioned this before. Well, I am officially name dropping.

JackH--

You mistake my meaning.

As I posted recently on another thread:

Shirley is Royal Crown Cola- out of business.

Lee is Dr. Pepper (gone flat).

I am a vintage Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
