yes, i’m aware of miss Dimitrova’s untimely demise. since this was done in 2003, i meant that she could have been there — except she doesn’t sing in german, it seems. i’ve never heard of her tackling Wagner or Strauss for instance.
By the way, has Behrens finally retired? Haven’t heard any news of her performances for quite a while.
