Manon uses a fan, doesn’t she? Maybe the various countesses of opera?

  • Caskader says:

In fact I’m a Wagner girl. I’ll record my Sieglinde for you as soon as my voice recovers from this weekends parties and a windpipe infection.

In the mean time, check out my Wotan at youtube:

Doi! Tosca / Scarpia! A fan’s actually a plot point in the opera. Or … a plot point of Scarpia’s.

  • Daniel says:

I’m thinking of taking up the fan…………

  • Winpal says:

Wow, Die Walküre staged in the Sonnambula setting. Francesca Zambello, eat your heart out.

    One more suggestion for Caskader…

Consider taking up castanets. With your experience with a fan, I think you’ll find them an easy transition. And, you’ll be able to add Carmen.

  • David says:

Not sure about castanets – given Caskader’s costume selection there’s always the danger of getting a nipple caught. But then, that may be part of the attraction…

  • CALLASORPHAN says:

A nipple caught in a castanet is a sure way to “stop the show” with your singing1

  • julienned says:

David and Callasorphan, you have a point. A tantalizing one (from my point of view). And then there’s the mantilla. It would cover up too much skin….
