Don’t know if any one else noticed but the Canadian Opera Company has announced that Ewa Podles will be singing the Klytemenstra in Electra next season. She has become a favorite in Toronto – Guilio Cesare, Jocasta et al.

Even though- from what I can see on ther webstie – the production appears to be a bit Eurotrashie I want to see that one. Only ever saw Leonie Rysanek in the part in Chicago more than a decade ago.

This blog topic reminded me of something I’ve been meaning to research… Anyone know of a site where you can search by singer, and find out their upcoming appearances? I knew of a site a few years ago, but I have forgotten it by now, if it even still exists. I’m sure you guys have the lead on this info for sure. Thanks in advance.

baryton: try operabase.org It’s not all that comprehensive, but it gives you a little bit of what you’re looking for.
